We went down to Colorado Springs for a few nights during Alex's week off the 1st part of July. We had a great time, and it was nice to get away for a bit. The kids love staying at hotels and did a great job sleeping together in one bed! The hotel had a 10 Commandments statue outside the entrance, which I thought was pretty neat. We ate at a BBQ restaurant that we loved going to in Texas (they only have one in CO), and Alex discovered there is a Togo's in CO Springs (one of his fav sandwich shops in CA). Unfortunately we saw it on our way home and didn't get to stop there.
Focus on the Family Visitor Center
We heard and then saw a rattlesnake while hiking at Garden of the Gods. Yikes!
The kids are so obsessed with bugs, so when we found out there was a bug museum here, we knew we had to try to fit it in/ It was really neat, and one of the largest private collections in the world.
Patsy's Candies factory tour. We got lots of free samples. Yum!
