July 2018

Alex and I celebrated our 10 years of marriage at the end of June.  In early July we were able to get away for the night while my parents watched the big kids.

We headed downtown, and stayed at the fancy Art Hotel.  It is right next to the Denver Art Museum, so we went to check out the exhibits after we checked into our room.

We love going to Brazilian steakhouses, so we went to Rodizio for dinner.  So yummy!

A few days later was the 4th of July.  The Highlands Ranch parade is within walking distance from our house, so we got there early to stake out a good spot.

After the parade, we got Andy's ice cream and headed to a nearby park.

We made it an early night, because we were heading to CO Springs the next morning.  1st stop- Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.  The zoo is on the side of a mountain, so lots of walking, but such a neat experience, and not as crowded as the Denver Zoo.

We stayed at our favorite hotel, and let the kids play in the children's area before swimming and dinner.

Next day was North Pole Amusement Park :)  We just love this place.

We ended our short trip with the the May Museum and Ghost Town Museum.  So nice to get away for a few days.

Alex had his first week-long Timber Wolf summer camp in mid-July in Boulder and Estes Park.  It was hard having him gone for a week, but he did great.

This little guy turned 6 months old in July!  He is tiny and sweet, but the worst sleeper :(  His sweet smiles make up for the hard nights though.

Checking out the new SeaQuest Aquarium at a local mall.

My parents work at the food pantry at their church, and the kids love helping out.
