July 2017

We got back from our little trip on the 4th, so we had a quiet evening at home.  The kids were able to see lots of fireworks, though.   SO many people in the neighborhood were shooting them off!

Slip n' slide fun!

1st day of Totus Tuus!  They had so much fun, and I got a a taste of what it is like to have only two at home for the majority of the day.

The little girls wanted a picture too :)

Building a bug house in the front yard.

Beach day with some friends at Chatfield Reservoir :)

Mary's dream came true when she got to see a live owl up close!  The library program promised a bird of prey, but we weren't positive it would be an owl.  The look on her face when they brought it out was priceless.

No summer is complete without water balloons!

They begged all summer to have a lemonade stand, and were excited to earn a few dollars.  Thanks, sweet neighbors, for your support!

CO Springs trip 2017

Hitting the road for our mini-trip to CO Springs!

The highlight of our trip was a visit to North Pole.  It is a Christmas themed amusement park, nestled in the mountains on the way to Pikes Peak.  Very enchanting, and such beautiful views!

Juju couldn't do many of the rides, but she loved the twisting candy cane slide, so we went on it over, and over, and over.

The magic show was so neat!  I didn't take any pictures, but here is the crew waiting for it to start.

I think the kids like the sky ride the best :)

The next day we headed to North Cheyenne Canyon Park for a morning hike.  We found a nice trail that ran along a river.

We spent a lot of time just relaxing and hanging out at the hotel pool. It was so nice to get away for a couple days!
